First Look Reveals Heartfelt Family Drama in Montana

Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell are set to lead The Madison, the highly anticipated spinoff of Yellowstone, premiering March 14 on Paramount+. The six-episode series follows a New York family navigating grief, resilience, and connection in Montana’s Madison River Valley.

A Story of Grief, Love, and Transformation

“The Madison” has been described as “a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.” Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan, the series explores the bonds that hold families together, even in the face of tragedy.

Pfeiffer portrays Stacy Clyburn, the heart of the family, in images showing her relaxing on a porch or holding a coffee mug in a field, while Russell plays Preston Clyburn, captured in contemplative moments and fly-fishing along Montana streams.

Star-Studded Cast

Joining Pfeiffer and Russell are Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, and Matthew Fox. Schnetzer stars as Van Davis, a Montana sheriff, while Matthew Fox plays Paul Clyburn, part of the central family.

Pfeiffer’s Return to Television

After starring as Betty Ford in the 2022 Showtime anthology series The First Lady, Pfeiffer returns to TV in a series she also helped executive produce. She shared in November 2025 that with her daughter expecting, she plans to take most of 2026 off, making her role in The Madison one of her final projects before a planned hiatus.

Premiere and Availability

The first season of The Madison will consist of six episodes, debuting exclusively on Paramount+ on March 14, 2026. Fans can expect a deeply emotional narrative, intimate family moments, and the stunning scenery of Montana as the backdrop for this heartfelt drama.
